Heavy equipment
Excavators, loaders, skid steers, generators and trailers. Drive or tow it aboard over the 13-foot ramp; drive it off at the island dock.
Services & vessel
Full or half private charters aboard the Island Hot Shot. Below: the cargo classes we carry, the vessel spec sheet, and whether a private charter is the right tool for your job.
What we move
Full or half charters. One customer's cargo, one sailing, no waiting for a consolidated container to fill. The open RoRo deck takes wheeled loads straight up the ramp and takes crane-lifted loads anywhere on the 2,000 square feet.
Excavators, loaders, skid steers, generators and trailers. Drive or tow it aboard over the 13-foot ramp; drive it off at the island dock.
Trucks, cars, golf carts, boats on trailers. Wheeled cargo rides on deck and comes off under its own power.
Deck capacity for FEUs or up to five TEUs on chassis, so a full container load moves without a transload.
Framing packages, roofing, block, rebar, windows and doors for island builds and rebuilds.
Aggregate, fill, sand and bagged product on pallets or in super sacks, loaded to the deck.
Odd-shaped or one-off cargo that doesn't fit a container schedule. Send the dimensions and weight and we'll tell you how it rides.
The vessel
A purpose-built landing craft. The Family Islands are ringed by banks and channels under six feet at low water, which is exactly where a deep-draft freighter stops and a lighter starts charging you twice. The Island Hot Shot runs in under six feet and puts the ramp on the beach or the dock.
Figures are as published by Island Craft Transport and are approximate. Exact load limits for a given sailing depend on cargo type, weight distribution, weather and destination and are confirmed at quote.
